It was the last \u2014 and most impressive \u2014 of all the Imperial Forums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a long time, historians believed the markets served as an ancient shopping centre, but today experts think they were designed to house the administrative offices of the forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The museum focuses on the history and architecture of the Imperial Forums.
